Sydney three-piece Fait Accompli spent the majority of 2013 within the confines of the studio getting deep into their next wave of new songs. Being a band that revels in playing live, it was hard for Fait Accompli to get focused in on writing for their next record, so getting off the road was the only solution. Fast forward to 2014 and now the band have close to 15 new songs which have been given their Soul Punk treatment, so recording is definitely on the cards at this stage.
These new songs have spearheaded the band into an exciting direction which they have naturally followed since their inception as a free-spirited inner city underground punk band back in late 2006. So after eight D.I.Y releases Fait Accompli are ready to make a serious amount of noise in 2014.
Fait Accompli are keen on celebrating the start of 2014 and share some new music with their loyal fans who have been waiting for their punchy melodic punk infused creations, bringing together loud guitars, hectic drums, beefy bass lines and their core ingredient, soul.
Fait Accompli finished 2013 with a quick East Coast tour hitting The Espy – Melbourne, Great Northern – Byron Bay, Frankies – Sydney and then started off 2014 with a four date visit to Perth. Fait Accompli have also been playing a few low-key headline shows to showcase brand new material, but will soon return with a National tour to celebrate their latest single END OF THE WORLD before they head back into the studio to record the next record.
Fait Accompli will be opening for legendary band from the lo-fi 90’s era SEBADOH at their SOLD OUT show at Factory Floor, Sydney on Saturday 22 March 2014.
